- Our cleanrooms are designed using specialized construction materials and techniques, including cleanable and sanitary finishes, sealed fixtures and surfaces, and non-outgassing curtain materials to ensure the cleanliness and air quality of your softwall cleanroom.
- We can provide turnkey solutions covering all aspects of your project, including process piping, ventilation and special environmental conditions.
- We design and install scalable clean areas ranging in size from area-specific (e.g., over conveyor systems) to large-scale production and manufacturing facilities.
- Our designs are cost-effective and robust.
- Most of the design and engineering is done in-house, we are responsible for all of the design. Over the course of the project, PETI will meet with your team to determine a scope of work.

- We can self-perform the critical parts of the installation, such as controls, HVAC duct and equipment, HEPA filters and air balance & startup.
- We can generate the protocols and perform IQ, OQ and PQs on our scope of work if you require validated systems.
Features of the Softwall Cleanroom
turnkey design & installation
PETI softwall frames come in two varieties: The standard softwall frame is made from either aluminum or steel tubes used as posts and a header or truss of steel to span between the posts. Additional steel joists support the T-bar ceiling. The other variety is the ECO Frame which is made from extruded aluminum components.
The standard softwall comes in a variety of sizes & ISO classifications.
- They can be as small as 8 ft x 8ft and ISO class 4~8
- They can be as large as required. The largest single span without interior posts is 42 ft x length required.
- There are no fixed standard sizes. The size can be made to match your requirements. However, if we have produced the size you are requesting before, then there could be savings on the engineering and design fees.
- The softwall cleanroom can be equipped with standard HEPA filters with 3-speed control or remote-controlled variable speed. Filters can be 120V-1ph, 208V-1ph or 277V-1ph.
- Lighting will be LED with adjustable color temperatures and wattage output. Light fixtures are multi-voltage.
- Curtains can be clear or clear antistatic polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or semi-clear polyurethane. Additionally, there could be an opaque cleanroom antistatic fabric.
- They are quicker to deliver and setup then modular and conventional cleanrooms.
- The larger the size the less the $/sq ft.
- Units can be equipped with:
- Static ionization grids
- Casters or air bearings for mobility
- Challenge ports for the HEPA filters
- Crane rails
- The inside clear heights can be up to 30 ft
The Eco frame softwall is meant for smaller units up to 12ft x 12ft with 10ft interior heights. The same features as above are available on the ECO frame, except for the larger spans and heights.

Types of Cleanrooms We Design & Build
turnkey design & installation
modular cleanrooms
Modular cleanrooms which use modular wall panels and ceiling components. Advantages are the ease of installation and the absence of drywall dust and mess found with conventional construction.
"Stick-Built" cleanrooms
Conventionally constructed “stick-built” cleanrooms which use metal studs and drywall to construct the walls resulting in a more permanent installation. The cost per square foot of the stick-built walls is usually less than modular. They are more readily accepted by building departments. The walls have fewer joints making them easier to clean and sanitize.
mobile cleanrooms
Mobile cleanrooms, meaning that they can be transported and they can be designed in a couple of different variations.
- They can be built inside of containers and custom enclosures such that they can be transported on a flatbed truck trailer and moved from site to site or shipped overseas on a container ship.
- They can be built into the trailer of a highway tractor-trailer and then towed from location to location.
- They can also be built inside of motorized vans such that they are driven from location to location.

PETI will deliver within a 300 mi radius if doing the installation. If not contracted to do the installation, we will ship common carrier on smaller units and contract carrier on larger units (3rd party carriers). PETI provides crating services for systems shipped by 3rd party carriers.
If your building is sprinklered, there is a good chance the fire department will require sprinklers or a dry chemical suppression fire system. PETI provides locations in the grid for sprinklers and can provide a dry chemical fire suppression system. PETI if doing the installation can hire a fire sprinkler subcontractor for a wet sprinkler fire suppression system. We recommend concealed head sprinkler heads.
No, we can do internal recirculating systems which save energy on hvac systems. This usually consists of return air rises for ISO 7 and better and prefiltered ceiling returns for ISO 8 cleanrooms.
