Whether it’s a walk-in cold storage-freezer room, a cleanroom, or a laboratory, it’s likely that it will require some type of mechanical system to provide one or more of the following:

PETI works with your process requirements and our experience, coupled with our extensive knowledge of codes and standards to create a cleanroom design or laboratory design to meet those requirements.
Types of mechanical systems typically used with cleanroom designs and laboratory designs include:
Packaged rooftop AC/HP units
for general comfort cooling.
Split DX systems with a separate condensing and air-handler unit are used when more precise control of temperature and humidity is required and especially for dehumidification. They may also be used because of space considerations or roof loading considerations.
Chilled water systems (air cooled or water cooled) are used when higher tonnages are required and perhaps more zones where zone control is needed.
Desiccant Dryers are used where the low humidity requirements exceed the dehumidification capability of Split DX or chilled water systems.
Scrubber-fan systems are used where the process generates contaminated air that needs to be removed and cleaned to an acceptable level.
Exhaust blowers for removing low-hazard contaminants and heat.
Humidification system for adding moisture to the air for processes that require a minimum and/or precise humidity level.
Mechanical systems require controls and monitoring. Whether it’s a simple programmable t-stat, a more complicated building management or monitoring system, PETI can design and install the equipment and perform startup, commissioning, and training so the system is ready for your intended use.
PETI typically performs the design, purchases the equipment and materials. In the field, we set the equipment, install the ductwork, piping, and controls, and perform the startup, test & balance, and commissioning. We also generate the IQ, OQ, and PQ forms and complete the forms when working on a validated system.

Starting with the assumption that you have a building and a space for the cleanroom or laboratory: A least a general basis of design, a general space planning layout accounting for product-people flow and raw materials and finished product storage, a list of equipment with required utilities (power, gases, water, ventilation, drains, sizes and weights) and an idea of where mechanical equipment (HVAC)and process support equipment can be placed, The more well developed these are the quicker your project can proceed. If you don’t have this information or the staff to develop this, PETI can provide assistance.
Yes, PETI is willing to handle this aspect of your project.
No, it is not required in most cases. PETI can handle most architectural requirements for the cleanroom facility and if you have requirements for other architectural services, we have Architects that we work with who can provide these services keeping the project as a single point of contact and responsibility. However, we do not provide architectural services for green-field and new buildings.
No, we will do the parts of the project that make sense from your perspective.
As an example, You may have an electrician you would like to use or a painting contractor. We can coordinate with them to bring about the successful conclusion of your project.
